This is Allan’s film debut. He has a grand total of two scenes and plays a stage singer. His first scene is during a dance rehearsal where he sings “Everything’s Been Done Before” while Broadway star Mona Leslie dances away. The second appearance is during the actual show. Mona begins the song, “Trocadero” and scenes merge into a nightclub where Allan is singing in costume and with a mustache. His voice can be heard in the background but be sure to keep your eyes peeled, or else you might his shot.
The plot revolves around Mona Leslie, a Broadway star who is involved in a love triangle. Wealthy playboy Bob Harrison woos her and her agent Ned Riley is a secret admirer. As she learns more about each man, conflict erupts, but she eventually falls for the right one, Ned Riley.
